The Choice is Ours

In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus give His disciples a choice. “Do you also wish to go away?” Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life; and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”

Two years ago, I started this series of Sunday Gospel refections so that I can spend some time to reflect upon the Gospel I heard proclaimed in Church. It was to me an exercise of self-discipline and familiarisation with the weekly Gospels.

It started off with this one – The Narrow Door, and very aptly after 2 years, it ends on us having to choose.

The teachings of Jesus are hard. And it is likened to entering via the narrow door. Being a Christian always challenges us to be set apart – Different from the world. Making choices that are morally and spiritually motivated. These are considerations the world often does not even care about.

But I realise as I come full-circle on this topic, the choice is ours.

I pray that you will always make the right decisions in your journey, and pls pray for me too.

Amen.

I’m ending this series of reflections for now and if you’ve been following them, thanks for reading. I hope they inspire you to go deeper into your own faith.

Myself, I’ve still hanging on to the Bible In A Year podcast, it is Day 233!

What a gift 🙂
