Happy Easter to you! In this Sunday’s Gospel, we read about the circumstances around Jesus resurrection.
It is a familiar story. The stone is rolled away.
The tomb is empty.
As we also end our forty days of Lenten sacrifices and purification, our bodies and minds also heave a sigh of relief.
A weight is lifted.
The Joy of Easter permeates our being and we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection in our lives again.
Let us use this emotion to push also our hearts further into the mystery of our faith.
We arise from the depths where our sins have brought us low.
We arise from the wounds that we have suffered from our brothers and sisters.
We arise from our own anxieties and depression that is keeping us in a dark place.
Arise.
Just as our Lord is risen, he leads us to freedom, step by step, day by day.
One prayer at a time.
