This week’s Gospel ( John 4:5–15, 19–26, 39–42 ) is the familiar story of Jesus and his encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well.
Through the conversation, where Jesus slowly reveals himself as prophet and messiah, the woman gains the faith to accept the message and even brings along her city folk to see Jesus.
This summarises for us how our faith lives ought to be.
Once we find the living water, the eternal well spring, we need to share this gift with others as well.
Let this water be the source of nourishment for all on the planet.
Now in this time of doom and gloom, with the COVID-19 pandemic being officially declared by the WHO and thousands around the world dying of this mysterious illness, we need to bring the message of Christ to all who would hear.
