This Sunday’s Gospel reminds us very strongly that we neither know the time of day or hour when your time runs out.
I’m also reminded very eerily about a famous Taiwanese/Canadian actor who just collapsed while filming this past week and died of cardiac arrest. He was filming a Chinese production called “Chase Me” and literally ran til he collapsed, filming for 17 hours straight. He was nursing a flu the day before and the production had pushed him too far this time.
So as the Gospel mentions : Of the two men in the field, one will be taken, one will be left.
Which one are you?
And if we are the ones taken, are we ready to face God?
As we begin this season of Advent let us turn our hearts to God and align ourselves with his will. That will prepare us for whatever it is to come.
